Gina stood at the edge as she watched her best friend Adam Lambert perform in front of a sold out Portland Oregon crowd. Adam was on the American Idol tour with nine other contestants. Gina was the stylist on tour with the Idols and had been friends with Adam since highschool.

Adam had been the runner up of American Idol but with the way the crowd reacted you would think he had been the winner. Gina was so proud of him for following through with his dreams. this was something he had wanted for so long.

Adam's set ended a couple songs later and when he came offstage he was beaming with pride as was Gina as she hugged him. as Gina passed his cell phone to him he looked down and saw his boyfriend Drake had called twice during the set. Adam kissed Gina on the cheek then he went off to return Drake's call.

Gina frowned and shook her head, Drake didn't deserve Adam. since highschool Adam had stayed true to his sexuality. Gina was the first to befriend him when everyone else though he was weird for being gay. minutes later Adam came up behind her and wrapped her in his arms before kissing her cheek.

"How did i do tonight?" Adam's deep voice asked against her neck.

"You were amazing like always." Gina said as she turned to face him "i am so proud of you Adam."

"I wouldn't be here if you had not talked me into trying out for Idol." Adam told her "so once again thank you."

Gina smiled before she kissed his cheek. the two would make a good couple if Adam had not been gay and did not have Drake in his life. she watched as Adam stepped to the side of the stage to watch his best friend from Idol perform. Gina joined his side and he wrapped a arm around her waist. watching the two you would think they were a couple but that wasn't the truth no matter how much Gina wished it were.

Gina lay in her bunk on the guys tour bus somehow when they went on tour Adam had managed to talk the managment to let Gina share a bus with the guys so he could be close with his best friend. so she shared a tour bus with 8 guys. she didn't mind because she was close with each and every one of them.

"What are you doing all alone back here?" Adam asked as he peeked into her bunk to see what she was doing.

"Just reading." Gina told him as she smiled "you look clean and refreshed."

"Come join us for a movie." Adam pleaded with her "were all going to watch stepbrothers."

"Alright." Gina said with a sigh as she let Adam pull her put of the bunk. she would do anything he asked because she cared for him that much.

Gina took her spot beside Adam on the couch and snuggled up to him. she stayed cold even when it was in the middle of summer. Adam smiled before he grabbed the blanket that lay across the back of the couch and covered her with it.

"Thanks." Gina said as she started to raised her head off him but he stopped her. he liked when she snuggled up against him even if she was only his best friend and he had no feelings for her in any other kind of way.

Gina kept her head where it was while they watched the movie. by the time the movie was over she had fallen asleep. Adam smiled before he got off the couch careful not to wake her, picked her up, then carried her off to her bunk.

Drake was calling Adam's cell as he covered Gina he kissed her cheek then he got into his bunk which was across from hers then flipped his phone open.

"Hey baby, i miss you." Adam said into the phone a smile on his face.

"Took you awhile to answer." was the only thing Drake had to say to him.

"Sorry i was carrying Gina to her bunk. she fell asleep watching a movie." Adam apologized.

"I don't like how you two are getting to spend so much time together." Drake sighed into the phone.

"How many times have i told you Drake that you have nothing to worry about?" Adam asked anger growing in his voice.

"And i don't think i like the tone in your voice right now." Drake said with the same amount of anger in his voice "listen when i call you i expect you to answer right away."

"Sorry Drake." Adam sighed not wanting to fight with his boyfriend "look i am tired, and were just going to fight so i am going to bed."

"Yeah that would be the best thing to do." Drake said still angry before he slammed his cell phone shut.

Drake sighed before he left his room. he passed by the bathroom where Brent his other lover Adam didn't know about stood. Drake smiled then entered the bathroom and wrapped his arms around Brent.

"Who were you on the phone with?" Brent asked as he turned to face his lover.

"My mom." Drake said before he kissed the side of Brent's neck then moved to his lips "should we watch tv..or do you want to continue this in the bedroom?"

"Bedroom sounds good." Brent smiled against Drake's lips. the two men headed back into Drake's room and soon were making love to one another. just a few days before Drake had made love to Adam in the same bed but it didn't bother him.

"Your the best i've ever had." Drake whispered against Brent's neck. Brent moaned with satisfaction.

"Where you going?" Brent asked as Drake crawled towards the end of the bed.

"I get hungry sometimes after sex." Drake smiled "so i was going to whip us up some pancakes."

"The sight of you naked in the kitchen cooking?" Brent asked "i think i will enjoy watching this.

Adam opened his eyes to Kris slightly touching his arm, groaning Adam got out bed and headed towards the bathroom which was locked. he sighed then knocked on the door.

"I will be out in a second." Matt said from the other side of the door.

"I heard your conversation with Drake last night as i was passing by going to my bunk." Kris said to his best friend "everything alright?"

"Not really." Adam said as he shook his head "Drake and i fight so much these days, i guess being apart from one another is starting to show in our relationship. that and he's jealous of Gina."

"He has no reason to be jealous of Gina." Kris laughed "i mean if you were a straight man then yeah i could see someone being jealous of the relationship you have with her but.."

"Yeah, i don't understand it." Adam said as the bathroom door opened and Matt stepped out smirking.

"Damn man, what crawled up your ass and died?" Adam said almost gagging from the smell coming from the bathroom "warn a brother next time why don't ya?"

Kris laughed before he headed towards the front of the bus where the other guys were. Adam finished in the bathroom then headed toward's Gina's bunk where she was still sleeping. he opened the curtain and little and smiled in on her before he leaned down to kiss her cheek. Gina opened her eyes and smiled up at him.

"Sleep well?" Adam asked her as she stretched inside the bunk.

"Yeah, did i fall asleep on you during the movie last night sweetie?" Gina asked as she got out of her bunk and the stood facing one another. he was so tall against her 5'1 frame and she had to lean her head back to look up at him.

"Yes." Adam smiled at her "but it's alright, i'm used to you falling asleep on me."

Gina wrapped her arms around him and rested her head against him as he hugged her close. how she wished she stood a chance with him but she wouldn't dare try to change his sexuality. once Adam let go of her she went to join the other guys at the front of the bus while Adam checked the messages and calls he had recieved overnight while sleeping.

"Morning short stuff." Matt said calling Gina by the nickname the guys had given her when she first met them.

"Morning." Gina replied before she plopped down on the couch beside Kris who she had also grown close to during the short time she had known the idols "your girlfriend joining us on tour tonight?"

"Yeah." Kris smiled "i can't wait to see Sara, your gonna become really good friends with her."

"It will be nice to have another girl on this tour bus." Gina said as she stretched her arms out above her head. she looked towards Adam who entered the room, something about him looked off and when he looked her direction she could see it in his eyes that he needed to talk.

"Adam, come on sweetie let's go to your bunk and we will talk." Gina said as she stood then grabbed his arm. he didn't fight with her and followed her towards the back of the bus.

"I called Drake to tell him i was sorry about the fight we had last night." Adam started to say without her asking "and another guy answered the phone. i asked who he was and he told me he was Drake's boyfriend."

"Oh, Adam i am so sorry sweetie." Gina said as she touched his hand with hers "what did you say back?"

"I couldn't speak so i just hung up the phone." Adam said as a tear trickled down his cheek, quickly he wiped it away then looked into the hazel eyes of his best friend "how could he do this to me? he know how bad it hurt when Brad did the same thing."

"I wish i could answer your question." Gina said as she sighed "but only Drake can tell you that."

"It's been twice now i've been hurt by a guy i love." Adam said as he looked down at the cover on his bunk "maybe love isn't for me.."

"You will find love Adam." Gina said as she raised his head to where thier eyes were meeting "and when you do it will feel like it did with Drake and with Brad. but this time love won't hurt you."

Adam smiled before he hugged her. she let him cry on her shoulder and when he was done she went to get a washcloth so he could wipe his face before the other guys noticed he had been crying.

"I don't know what i would do without you Gina." Adam said before he kissed her cheek "you've always been here for me."

Adam stood to go into the bathroom to finish washing his face and she starred after him.

"I will always be here for you Adam." Gina whispered as a tear fell down her cheek "if you would open your eyes you would see the love i was talking about is right there in front of you."

Adam sighed as he starred down at his phone with Gina at his side. they were in the airport waiting for Kris's gf to arrive since Kris was busy at the moment doing a radio interview for a station there in Tacoma, WA.

"Thinking about calling Drake?" Gina asked as she looked over at Adam.

"Yeah, we should talk i guess." Adam said softly "i'm going to break things off with him."

"If you feel that is the right thing to do." Gina said before she kissed his cheek "i think it is the right thing to do because he hurt you Adam and he will just keep hurting you."

Adam kissed her cheek just as Sara's plan landed. the both stood and waited for her to walk through the gate. Adam spotted her and hugged her. they had known one another from when she came to see the AI show when he and Kris were contestants.

"You must be Gina." Sara smiled "I've heard so much about you through Kris and Adam."

The two girls hugged and Adam watched on. he smiled when the girls departed then he put a arm around each one of the girls and they started off towards the luggage claim.

Adam looked down at his phone and saw Drake was calling he sighed before flipping his phone open and answering the phone "Hey Drake, i was going to call you later."

"Look i know you know about Brent." Drake sighed into the phone "he makes me happier than you ever could Adam."

"How long have you been seeing him behind my back?" Adam wanted to know as Gina rubbed his arm for comfort.

"Since you've been on Idol." Drake admitted "can you forgive me?"

"Hell no i can't forgive you." Adam said keeping his voice calm "and it's over Drake, i don't want to see you, do not contact me. hope Brent is worth it."

Adam closed his phone before Drake could say another word. Gina was smiling so were Adam and Sara. he must have felt so good telling Drake off and Drake deserved to hear every word Adam said to him.

"I'm proud of you sweetie." Gina said as the stopped at the luggage claim. Adam hugged her and kissed the top of her head.

"It felt damn good." Adam laughed "i don't need a man anyways when i have you as my best friend."

"You will always have me as your best friend." Gina said as she looked up at him "but at some point in your life you will need love again. it get's lonely without someone to love."

Later that night Gina and Sara were in the hotel room they shared together. even though Sara was dating Kris she hated to break up the friendship he had with Adam so she let them share hotel rooms while she shared with Gina.

"So how long have you known Adam?" Sara asked as she lounged across her bed.

"Since freshman year of highschool." Gina said propping herself on pillows "can i tell you something and it not get back to Adam? it's starting to really bother me and i can't keep it inside any longer."

"Sure, i'm all ears." Sara told her as she prepared to listen.

"I'm falling for Adam, well i've been falling for him the past few years now. my feelings are just now getting stronger now." Gina said with a sigh.

"Damn, that's rough." Sara said shaking her head "Do any of the other guys know?"

"I don't think so." Gina said as she starred off into space "your the only one who knows other than me of course."

"I promise i won't tell anyone." Sara said with a serious tone in her voice "but i gotta say you two would make a cute couple."

"Yeah, a couple that will never be though." Gina said as she leaned back against the pillows close to tears from the hurt of the words she had just spoken.

Gina opened her eyes to a knock at the door. she looked at the clock beside her bed. 3:00 in the morning, only person it could be was Adam who couldn't sleep or needed to talk. sighing she got out of bed and walked towards the door when she saw it was Adam she smiled then stepped out into the hall to join him.

"You alright?" she asked as he starred her down in her pajama's. he was dressed in a pair of lounging pants with a white fitted tee. she smiled at him shaking her head.

"Yeah i'm fine, just couldn't sleep." Adam told her "i was going to go down to the pool and look up at the stars, wanna join me?"

"You've already woke me up so i might as well." Gina laughed as she walked with him towards the elevator. the lobby was empty as they walked out to the poolside then took places in the empty lounging chairs.

"I love just coming out at night and looking up at the stars." Adam said as he placed his hands behind his head. Gina starred over at him with a smile on her face. what she wouldn't give to be with him, making love to him on that lounge chair.

"Sing me a song Adam." Gina pleaded as she kept her eyes on him. he looked over at her and laughed.

"You hear me sing all the time though." Adam said still laughing.

"But i never get tired of it." Gina said her eyes fixed on his pretty blue eyes. her hazel eyes pleaded with him.

"Alright." Adam said with a slight sigh.

Gina found it hard to breathe, she couldn't believe he had chose that song. he looked at her and laughed before walking over to join her in the lounge chair.

"No, i loved it." Gina assured him as she set up in the lounging chair. next thing she knew she was kissing his lips. when she finally realized what she had done she quickly stood and ran back into the hotel with tears streaming down her face leaving her best friend outside in shock.

Sara opened her eyes when she heard Gina come into the room. she set up in bed and turned the light on beside the bed. Gina looked at her with tears running down her face and Sara knew something was wrong.

"I just kissed Adam." Gina said as she let the tears continue to fall "i couldn't hold back anymore."

"What did he say?" Sara asked, she was suddenly wide awake now wanting to hear what happened between her two friends.

"I didn't give him time to say anything." Gina said as she set down on her bed "as soon as i realized what i had done i took off running and crying leaving him alone out there."

"Wow." was all Sara could say "i am sure he is so confused right now."

"He probably hates me." Gina said as she placed her face in her hands and began to cry harder "my god i am such a idiot. he is a gay man and i should not be having these feelings for him."

"You can't help who you love." Sara said as she walked over and placed her hand on Gina's arm "that's just the way love works and you can't do anything about it."

"Yeah i guess your right." Gina said leaning her head against the back of the bed.

A few days later Gina lay on the couch at the front of the tour bus, all day she had felt tightness in her chest and now she was developing a cough. the guys all worried about her but Adam worried the most as he set beside her at the end of the couch. nothing had changed between the two of them since the kiss but at times Adam felt weird around her and he could not figure out why.

"Do you need anything?" Adam asked as he watched her cough then struggle to get her breath back.

"Not right now." Gina told him as she lay back on her pillow "maybe you shouldn't be around me."

"If i get sick, then i get sick." Adam told her before feeling of her forhead "your developing a slight fever."

"Don't worry about me Adam." Gina told him as she starred into his eyes "you need to worry about keeping yourself well."

"Now don't you go worrying about me." Adam told her as he stood to his feet "i am going to fix you some tea."

"Thanks." Gina said before she starred after him. since the kiss her feelings for him had only grown stronger.

"How are you feeling?" Sara asked as she joined Gina on the couch.

"Like i am coming down with bronchitis." Gina sighed which caused her to cough "i've had it before and i remember it feeling just like this."

"Ouch." Sara said "if Adam knew you thought it was that serious he would make you go to the doctor."

"I have a feeling he's going to make me anyways." Gina said shaking her head "he cares so much about me and would do anything to make me feel better."

"Has he said anything about the kiss?" Sara wanted to know.

"No." Gina replied just as Adam came back with her tea.
