Sara found herself in her apartment trying to get some studying done for the final exams that she had coming up during the week. However it was a Tuesday which meant that American Idol would be on tonight and she was constantly looking at the
time, and each time she looked at the clock, time seemed to crawl by as she waited for 7pm to get closer.

Sara's very close friend Kris Allen was one of the top three left in the competition along with Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert. She was excited because she was going to see him at the finale if he made it to the finals, and she was confident that he would, but of course she was a little worried, because Danny and Adam both had huge fan bases, and Adam is one of the greatest singers and performers the show has ever had.

Since she had become friends with Kris for just over 2 years now, she started to have other feelings about him. She wanted him more than just a friend, but there was small problem Kris already had someone else, his new wife Katie. They have been married for 7 months or something like that, and she knew it was not right to have feelings for a married man, but it was hard to ignore those feelings. Kris knew that Sara loved him, but he did not know just how much she loved him, and she wondered if he felt the same way about her.

Sara almost jumped when she heard her phone ringing on her desk beside her that snapped her away from her thoughts. She picked the phone up and the screen said: "Krissy calling"

She answered the phone with a big smile. "Hey Krissy!"

"Hey Sara!" Kris replied laughing a little.

"How are you?! I'm trying to get some studying done before the show tonight!" Sara said.

"That sounds fun! I'm doing pretty good! I'm starting to get nervous about the show tonight." Kris said.

"Kris, I know you're going to do great! You just need to believe in yourself!" Sara said shaking her head, Kris was usually like this before his performances, he did not think he was as good as the other contestants.

"Yes I know. You're right Sara." He said smiling. "You're watching tonight right?" He teased.

"Of course I am!" Sara laughed. "I'm so excited to see you next week, I've missed you so much! I got my finale ticket in the mail today!"

"I can't wait to see you either! It's been way too long since I've seen you." Kris said smiling. "Oh I'm sorry I need to go get ready for the show, but I'll call you later ok?"

"Ok, good luck tonight Krissy! I love you!" Sara said.

"Thanks! Love you too! Bye!" Kris said back.

"Bye!" Sara said sighing. She didn't like it when their phone calls ended, it was one of the only ways of talking to Kris these days, but she understood that he was busy and she would be seeing him very soon.

Kris was just finishing up his phone call with his friend Sara when Adam Lambert walked into the backstage area.

"I can't wait to see you either! It's been way too long since I've seen you." Kris said smiling and then he saw Adam trying to tell him they had to start getting ready for the show. "Oh I'm sorry, I need to go get ready for the show, but I'll call you later ok?"

"Thanks! Love you too! Bye!" Kris said with a smile, and then he closed the phone with a sigh.

Adam sat down on the couch next to Kris, patting him on the back. "Hey Kris! How are you feeling about tonight?"

"Nervous, like I always am." Kris chuckled a little. "How are you feeling? You should be feeling good, you always put on great performances."

"Aww, thank you Kris, but I'm kind of nervous myself. I hope Simon likes what I did with his song choice for me." Adam replied. "Who were you talking to on the phone, if you don't mind me asking?" Adam asked.

"That was my best friend Sara. She's coming next week for the finale, I'm so excited to see her, it's been so long since I have seen her." Kris smiled.

"Aww! That's great! When will she be here?" Adam asked.

"She is coming this Saturday."

"Very cool! I would love to meet her." Adam smiled.

"You will, she will be staying with us at the mansion." Kris replied just as his phone rang, it was his wife Katie.

They have had a few arguments during the last 2 months of the competition, and he felt that even though their marriage was young his feelings for Katie were not as strong as they used to be. He thought it had to do with the fact that they just did not see each other very much these days, since he has had a busy schedule for 'Idol." He knew that another possibility was he was starting to have feelings for Sara, but he decided he should try to make amends with the woman that he was married to.

"Hi honey." He said when he answered the phone.

"Hey baby!" Katie said. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing ok," Kris replied. "I'm just a little nervous, like always."

"Kris you are going to be fine! Do not worry!" Katie said.

"Yeah I know, you're right. Sara told me that too."

"When did you talk to her?" Katie asked, she was a little bit jealous that Sara said that to him before she did.

"I talked to her a few minutes ago, she is coming to see me for the finale." Kris said smiling.

"Oh yeah, that's great honey." Katie said. She has always been a little jealous of Kris's close friendship with Sara.

Sara tried to keep studying for her exams, but American Idol was going to be on in an hour and half, so she went into her kitchen to make dinner. She decided to make grilled cheese, while she waited for it to start toasting she turned the tv on. When the grilled cheese was done, she sat on the couch when Sara's phone rang again. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, and put it up to her ear.

"Hello?" Sara said.


"Hey Sara!" Sara's best girl friend Gina said.

"Oh hi Gina!" Sara said.

"How are you?" Gina asked.

"I'm ok, I'm so excited and nervous. I know Kris will do great tonight." Sara said taking a deep breath. "He sent me a ticket so I can see him at the finale, I really hope he makes it, he wants this so bad."

"I really hope Adam makes it to the finals too, can you imagine a Kradam finale?!" Gina said getting excited.

"That would be fantastic, I love both of them, they're so cute together. I can't wait to see him! I miss him so much." Sara said starting to get teary eyed a little.

"Aww, I know you do honey. Ooh the show is starting, but I'll talk to you soon girl!" Gina said.

"Alright bye!" Sara said wiping her tears and closing her phone.

American Idol had started, it showed Danny, Kris and Adam each standing under a spot light. Everything else around them was dark. Sara got really excited when she saw Kris, she really could not believe that her best friend was in the top three. She was so proud of him.

"THIS is American Idol!" Ryan Seacrest always said before the introduction.

After the introduction they showed Ryan coming down the famous staircase. After he came down, he explained that each contestant would have more than one number to call or text to for voting. Sara was planning on voting for Kris until her fingers fell off. All she wanted right now was to see Kris on tv since that was her only way of seeing him these days.

"America please welcome your top 3! Adam, Kris and Danny!" Ryan said.

The three guys walked out from behind the dividing wall. Kris was wearing jeans, sneakers, a white t-shirt and a grey jacket. It was all simple, but Sara thought he looked sexy in it anyway.

"Yay Krissy! I love you!" Sara got excited and blew kisses to the screen. She was excited to know which songs Kris would be singing.

Tonight one of the judges chose a song or each contestant and then the contestants chose any song they wanted. Sara knew Kris would do great, she always thought he was a great singer.

Kris closed his eyes and bowed his head down as he let out the last few words of the song, the next minute his heart started pounding harder than it already was. He felt that he sang well, and he had confidence in himself just like Sara told him. He stood up from the piano, it was time to face the judges.

Randy and Kara had chosen "Apologize" by One Republic for Kris to sing as the judges choice, so he was nervous about what they would say.

"Listen dawg, check it out." Randy said. "I thought you did a great job with the song."

"I don't completely agree with you Randy." Kara said. "I didn't really like the arrangement. I wish you had done the song with your guitar instead."

On the other side of the tv, Sara was so proud of Kris. He did a great job performing Apologize. She clapped and acted the way any fan would when he was done. Now she was in nervous mode, and she was sure Kris would be nervous too.

She was glad that Simon stood up for Kris after Kara's comments. Her and Randy were the ones that chose the song for him, so maybe they should have told him what kind of arrangement they wanted him to do for the song.

Ryan then stood next to Kris and read the numbers to call or text to send votes for him. Kris winked at the camera, and Sara knew the wink was for her.

"AHH! Krissy! I love you!" she blew kisses at the tv once more.

Kris chose the song "Heartless" by Kanye West for himself. All of the judges said they enjoyed his performance. Kris hoped and prayed that what he did was enough to stay in the competition, he was not sure he did because Adam and Danny had large fan bases, and he would be happy for them if they made it to the finals, no matter how bad he wanted it himself.

On Wednesday morning Sara was walking across campus back to her apartment. She was done with all her exams. I felt pretty good about them for the most part, but she had a hard time concentrating on the exam today especially since tonight, she would find out if Kris was going to the finale or not. She had voted during the whole 2 hours after the show ended the previous night.

She heard her phone ringing inside her pocket.

"Hey Krissy!" Sara smiled.

"Hey Sara. So how did I do last night?" Kris wanted to know.

"You were amazing! I loved both of the songs you did last night! I loved Apologize!" Sara said excitedly.

"Thank you! So, who did you vote for last night?" Kris teased.

"I voted for Danny! DUH! Kidding! I voted for my Krissy poo of course!" Sara laughed.

"Good! I would've punished you when you got here if you did." Kris laughed with her.

"How are you feeling about tonight?" Sara asked already guessing the answer as she unlocked the door to her apartment.

"I'm nervous as hell, but I can't wait to see you!"

"Aww, I'm excited too! Shouldn't you be resting your voice?" Sara laughed.

"Yeah I just wanted to talk to you, even if it was for a few minutes. I need to go anyway, but I'll talk to you soon. Bye."

"Bye sweetie." Sara said.

Later that evening Sara was in front of the tv once again watching American Idol. They showed each of the three guys' homecoming videos. She wished she could've gone down to Conway, Arkansas to support Kris, but school got in the way of that unfortunately. She found herself falling for him more everyday, and she knew she would fall faster when she saw him on Saturday.

She cried when they showed Kris's, they showed him sitting on the back of a convertible with his wife, but she didn't seem to enjoy the thousands of fans shouting her husband's name.

After they showed all the homecoming videos, it was time for the results, only two of these men would go on to the finale next week. Sara hoped and prayed that there would be a Kradam finale, because her friend Gina loved Adam.

"...the first person who will be in the finale next week is....ADAM LAMBERT!" Ryan Seacrest announced.

Sara was so excited that Adam but now she was in full nervous mode. She was standing now in front of her tv, praying and hoping that Kris would be joining Adam in the finale, and she knew Adam wanted it as well. The two of them had become great friends during the competition, and they were so adorable together.

"Who will be joining Adam? Kris or Danny?" Ryan said.

"KRIS! Please! Please! Please!" Sara shouted at the tv.

Kris and Danny got closer together and put their arms around each other as they waited.

"....the person who will be joining Adam in next week's finale is.....KRIS ALLEN!" Ryan announced.

The look on Kris's face was priceless, when he found out he was going to the finale with his good friend Adam. The two of them hugged each other and then they both hugged Danny as well.

"YES YES YES!" Sara jumped up and down and screamed, with tears pouring out of her eyes. She was so excited, and happy. "I love you so much Krissy! I'm so proud of you!"

Sara was so excited and happy for Kris, she had a hard time sleeping later that night and she started to pack for her trip to see him.

Kris and Adam were in the kitchen of the mansion, they still couldn’t believe that they made it to the finale together.

“I can’t believe we’re in the finale together!” Adam said excitedly, as he opened the freezer and took out a tub of ice cream. “We need to celebrate my friend!”

“Yes, we do!” Kris agreed. “We’re in the finals and Sara will be here to see it! I’m so excited to see her.”

“I’m excited to meet her!” Adam said putting the ice cream away, and sitting next to his friend, while they ate their ice cream.

“She’ll get here on Saturday.” Kris smiled. “Do you mind taking me to the airport, since you know the way there?”

“Of course not!” Adam smiled patting his friend on the back as they both finished their ice cream.

“Thanks

Kris was in the bedroom that he moved into when several of the other contestants had moved out, Adam was just down the hall from him. He had several things on his mind. First he still couldn’t believe that he had made it to the finale with his best friend Adam, he was really excited about seeing Sara in a few days.

He also thought about the woman who he was married to, Katie. He loved her but he wished she supported him more during the competition. He understood that she didn’t like not spending a lot of time with him, but he wanted to do music for the rest of his life. He was thankful for Sara’s support because she was behind him the whole way. She knew how bad he wanted to do music. His phone rang. He took the phone out of his jeans that were on the floor. He smiled as he looked at the screen.

“Hi Sara!” Kris smiled.

“Hi Krissy!” she smiled as well. “I’m so excited that you’re in the finale with Adam!”

“I’m know! I seriously can’t believe it!” Kris said as he buried his face in his hand out of disbelief. “I had a feeling that it would be Danny.”

“I kinda had that feeling also, but I was thinking positive thoughts all day.” Sara sighed.

“Are you ok Sara?” Kris asked.

“I just miss you so much.” Sara said.
“I miss you too, I’m really excited to see you.” Kris smiled and then yawned.

“Aww, is Krissy tired?”

“Yeah Krissy’s tired.” Kris smiled as he laid back onto his bed.

“Ok, I’ll let you go to sleep then honey. I love you!” Sara smiled.

“I love you too. I’ll see you on Saturday.” Kris told her before they said their good byes.
